Novelist Erin Stalcup to Give Reading at CWU
Acclaimed author Erin Stalcup will present her work and answer questions from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Brooks Library Second Floor Commons at Central Washington University on January 15.
Stalcup’s presentation, part of the 2018-19 Lion Rock Visiting Writers Series, will be accompanied by a craft talk on editing and publishing from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on the same day, also in the Brooks Library Second Floor Commons. Both events are free and open to the public.
Stalcup, who is the author of the novel, Every Living Species (Gold Wake Press, 2017), and the story collection, And Yet It Moves (Indiana University Press, 2016), will also be signing books following the reading.
Stalcup’s fiction has also appeared in The Kenyon Review, The Sun, Monkeybicycle, and elsewhere. Her creative nonfiction was listed as a Notable Essay in The Best American Essays 2016.
Stalcup co-founded and co-edits Waxwing, and she is the editor of Hunger Mountain. She recently joined the faculty in the MFA Program in Writing & Publishing at Vermont College of Fine Arts.
