Message from the President: Welcome to Central Washington University
Welcome to Central Washington University! As I walked across campus last Friday, meeting returning students, greeting new students and their families, I felt our campus come back to life, like a warm thaw after a long winter. At our University Centers, we continue to work with our partners to provide a vibrant learning experience, even in the midst of the challenges we face.
College is a time of making new friends and deepening relationships with old friends, of developing relationships with faculty and staff, and beginning the process of finding your way in the world. I hope that you are looking forward to an academic year filled with new experiences and opportunities as much as I am!
Part of what makes the Wildcat community so powerful is the strong connections we have to Central, to each other, and to our community. I encourage you to explore all of the exciting opportunities and powerful resources available at CWU. Position yourself for success by getting involved in organizations, clubs, and endeavors that speak to your passions and interests. Know that you have found a home here at Central, a place where you are welcome and where you belong.
As your new president, I feel very honored to be part of this exciting time in your lives. We are so pleased you have chosen to add your talent, skills, and abilities to our Wildcat community. I believe this is a place of infinite possibilities, where you will grow and blossom into who and what you want to become.
Again, welcome, and have a terrific academic year.
