CWU Researchers Part of Team Studying Whidbey Island's Tsunami History

Researchers from Central Washington University, University of Washington and the U.S. Geographical Survey will visit Oak Harbor in July to survey and take samples from the land, marshes and beaches as part of a push to research Whidbey Island’s history of tsunamis.

The team will conduct research in Crescent Harbor and Dugulla Bay July 8-17. The data collected should help form a picture of Whidbey’s tsunami risk.
