Join us on Saturday, May 21 at the Kittitas Valley Event Center at the county fairgrounds in Ellensburg for a celebration of our local heritage. Built in 1883, the Thorp Mill was a hub of early industry in Kittitas County and now serves as an interpretive site, museum and educational resource open to the public. The Thorp Mill Historical Society maintains a close collaborative partnership with Central Washington University through student internships, research projects, grant writing and class projects.

The Thorp Mill dinner and auction event is coordinated by CWU students, and proceeds from the dinner and auction help to support CWU student internships and research projects at the mill, as well as maintenance of the historical site. The interpretive site at 11642 North Thorp Hwy, ~1 mile west of the town of Thorp, is open Friday-Sunday from June-September and is staffed by CWU students.

Dinner/Auction tickets are $50 for adults, $15 for children 17 and under. Purchase tickets online at (link is external). For more information about the Thorp Mill historical site and the auction, go to

We encourage the CWU community to participate in this annual tradition!
