CWU Collecting Donations for Annual Holiday Gift Project

Donated Christmas presents

Help deliver some holiday cheer to children in our community this month by contributing to Central Washington University’s Holiday Gift Project.

The annual giving initiative — which has returned to an in-person format this year — offers CWU staff and faculty a chance to make a heartfelt and personal gesture to local children in need by providing them with a gift (or gifts) from their wish lists.

The 2021 gift program began on November 1 and will continue through December 1.

More than 100 kids still need sponsors, and the Office of the President needs help from the campus community to fulfill its goal of bringing holiday joy to hundreds of kids in our area. Holiday Gift Project tag

Last year’s project, which featured online purchases and selected drop-off sites, delivered gifts to more than 200 children. The 2019 installment reached more than 300 kids.

Gifts can be delivered to the President's Office (Barge Hall, room 314) by Wednesday, December 1. Because some requests are “needs” as much as “wants,” participants are urged to choose both a practical gift and a fun one, if possible. Please note: Monetary donations are not accepted.

The Holiday Gift Project supports the Washington Department of Youth, Children, and Families; Seedlings of Kittitas County; and CWU’s Early Childhood Learning Center.
