Campus Advisory: New Pedestrian Routes Now In Place Around Nicholson Pavilion

Map of pedestrian access for Health Education project

This map shows pedestrian access during phase one of the Health Education building project on the north end of campus

Central Washington University is beginning work on its large-scale Health Education building project on the north end of campus, and students, faculty, and staff are being advised that the pedestrian route will be altered for the next four months.

The $60.5 million project, funded by the Washington State Legislature, will renovate Nicholson Pavilion and Purser Hall over the next two years, with an estimated completion date of fall 2023.

Fencing has been installed around both facilities during the first phase of the project, expected to last until April 30. Beginning this month, pedestrian access will be limited to designated areas (see attached map).

Access to Nicholson Pavilion and Purser Hall will still be available, while accessible parking spaces will still be offered.
