Grant Writing Workshop - RSVP Required
The School of Graduate Studies & Research (SGSR) is hosting a two-part professional development series designed for faculty and staff. This series is perfect for those who have a research or project idea but need guidance on securing external funding.
The series is designed as a progressive sequence; However, you may attend each workshop independently. Space is limited, so please RSVP.
- Monday, March 16, 2026, 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. – RSVP required by March 2nd.
- Developing a Fundable Research or Program Portfolio (morning session) - Participants will have the tools to write long-term research/program goals, think/analyze what is needed to reach those goals, and articulate the projects they need to complete to move toward their long-term goals.
- Developing Your Funding Request Overview (afternoon session) - Participants will learn strategies to identify the funder’s goals and speak to funders’ needs, and convey the impact/importance of their specific research or program on gaps/problems that the funder wants to address.
- Monday, June 8, 2026, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. – RSVP required by March 2nd.
- Grant Writing Boot Camp - This interactive workshop will educate participants on how to prepare a competitive federal grant application. All participants are expected to bring and share a one-page research or program project overview.
Location – CWU Ellensburg Campus (Moehring Event Center); Beverages and lunch will be provided.
