A Bite of Science Seminar: Pacific Lamprey Project
Please join us on Tuesday, 1/13, 5:30pm at The Ridge (404 Pine St. Ellensburg) for our first "A Bite of Science Seminar". We will hear from Dave’y Lumley and Alexis Massey on Yakama Nation Fisheries' Pacific Lamprey Project.
A note from Dave’y, "Please come join to learn about this very unique fish called a Pacific Lamprey. They have been found in the fossil record for over 450 million years! This talk will give an overview of what this project does as a whole, including information about lamprey hatchery rearing and spawning, adult translocation from the lower Columbia River, habitat and Diversion Surveys, Cultural Significance to tribal members, and other educational outreach."
A Bite of Science Seminar Series is sponsored by College of the Sciences, the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Geography, and hosted by The Ridge.
