For Your Safety

To ensure the safety of everyone in attendance, all CWU Commencement ceremonies allow clear bags only. No regular bags, backpacks, or totes will be allowed inside the stadium. Small purses are permitted. Additionally, all guests will have to go through a metal detection check-point prior to entering the stadium. For more safety regulations, review our FAQs.

Guest Seating

CWU Commencement Ceremonies

No tickets are required to attend any CWU Commencement ceremonies. All are welcome! Please plan to arrive early to allow time for parking and seating. Gates will open 1 hour prior to the start of each ceremony. The ceremony will begin promptly as scheduled. Audience seating is available in the grandstands for 4,200 people, as well as on the turf behind the graduates. We recommend that guests wear comfortable shoes without heels. Guests may not sit in the walkways. The walkways must be kept clear for the processional and recessional, as well as for emergencies. Please scroll down for more information on ADA accessible seating inside Tomlinson Stadium.

Accessible Accommodations

CWU Commencement Ceremonies

ADA parking is available behind the grandstands of Tomlinson Stadium. A valid, state-issued ADA parking permit is required for parking in this section. Spaces in this lot are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so please plan additional time for parking.

ADA seating is located on the southwest side of the field near the main entrance. Please look for signs. Each guest is allowed ONE companion seat in the ADA section. There are a limited number of wheelchair seats in the stadium grandstands, outside of the ADA section. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will fill quickly.

There will be an ASL interpreter located on the stage and on the Jumbotron throughout the entire ceremony.
