CWU Tuition Awards and CWU Grants
Need-based institutional aid for undergraduate Washington State residents. Eligibility Requirements:
- Resident student with need
- FAFSA required
Annual Limits: $300 - $2,100 and can bring institutional aid up to $3,600.
Dependents of Disabled or Deceased Fire and Police
Tuition waiver for dependent students of disabled or deceased Fire or Police. Eligibility requirements:
- Document eligibility through CWU Veteran Affairs
- Office 509-963-1229.
Annual Limits: Full tuition waiver
Dependents of CWU Employees
Tuition waiver for dependent students of CWU Employees. Eligibility requirements:
- Contact Human Resources
- Admitted and seeking a degree
- Less than 25 years old
- 2.25 GPA required
- Limited to 12 quarters in a 5 year period
Annual Limits: ½ tuition waiver
Veteran Dependent Waiver
Full tuition waiver for dependents or spouse of a disabled or deceased veteran.

Central Veteran Grant
CWU will grant $500 per quarter to veterans who have served in Foreign Conflict

Annual Limits: $1,500
Douglas Honors College
Requires 2.75 cumulative GPA (checked quarterly).
Annual Limits:$1,000
Step Waiver
Requires 3.0 cumulative GPA (checked quarterly).
Annual Limits:$1,000
Dean's Waiver
Awarded by Dean or designee, requires 2.75 cumulative GPA (checked quarterly).

Athletic Waiver
Awarded by Wildcat Athletics
Annual Limits:to be determined
Graduate Assistantship
Assistantship includes operating fee waiver contact Graduates Office.
Annual Limits:contracted through the Graduate Office
