CWU's World Languages Day
Stay tuned for World Languages Day 2027 details
World Languages Day 2027.
About WLD: World Languages Day (WLD) is the second biggest recruitment event on CWU Ellensburg campus. The event brings several hundred High School students of world languages to CWU, including many from the College in the High School language programs.
What to expect: World Languages Day is held from 9 am to 2 pm in Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC). WLD program features accessible presentations on languages and cultures from different departments at CWU. Last year participants learned about K-drama and Soviet animation, discovered best ways to use Duolingo, explored Peruvian fashion, practiced Russian folk dances, participated in a Japanese origami contest, and played ASL games.
Visitors get to know CWU campus life and academic opportunities, participate in hands-on workshops led by students, and engage in a campus wide scavenger hunt. Many Student Clubs and Academic Programs table at the Club Fair, inspiring our High School visitors to look forward to college experience and dream big about their future.
All CWU faculty, staff and students are invited. Discover the personal and professional advantages of world languages programs, participate in fun events, meet our students and faculty, and engage the world with World Languages and Cultures!
