Professional Development
The Special Education Technology Center (SETC) has a wide range of webinars and workshops designed for K-12 educators and parents. These sessions cover different aspects of assistive technology, like understanding the types of tools available, integrating them into the curriculum, and getting the most out of them for students with disabilities. Our trainers are experts in assistive technology(AT) for learning and incorporating augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) throughout the school day. Our professional development covers topics such as,
- AAC evaluation & implementation
- Alternative access for students with physical disabilities
- Assistive technology for reading, writing and math, and executive functioning.
- Accessible Educational Material (AEM)
- Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Assistive Technology
SETC's professional development empowers educators and parents to create inclusive learning environments that meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities, providing equal access to education and enhancing their learning experiences statewide.
