Mason is the Research Compliance Administrator (RCA) responsible for screening all HSRC applications and certifying Requests for Exemption. As RCA, Mason serves as an ex-officio voting board member. Additional duties include developing policy and procedures, preparing for board meetings, corresponding with and providing support for investigators and reviewers, maintaining the website and educating the CWU community about ethics of human subjects research.
