Arrival Information
Ellensburg Student Arrival Checklist
- Complete Arrival Form
- Make travel arrangements to get to campus
- By airport shuttle (daily schedule, make a reservation)
- Driving by car (directions to CWU, map of campus)
- Apply for on-campus housing or secure off-campus housing
- If staying on campus, please pre-order your bedding (e.g., blankets, sheets, pillows) at DormCo. Packages may be delivered to the Office of International Studies and Programs.
- If you plan to arrive early and need temporary accommodation, here are some available options:
Getting to CWU

Airport information
Most international students arrive via the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac). From the airport, there are daily shuttles to Ellensburg, which depart every 2 1/2 hours.

Shuttle information
The easiest way to travel from SeaTac to Ellensburg is by the Bellair Airporter Shuttle. A one-way ticket from SeaTac to Ellensburg is approximately $41. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance (select the drop-off location "Ellensburg - CWU Starbucks").
The shuttle will drop you off in Ellensburg at the Starbucks near campus. An ISSS staff member will meet you at Starbucks, if you arrive at the following times: 1:35 pm, 4:05 pm, 6:35 pm (Monday through Friday). If you arrive outside of these times, please contact our office for assistance.

Getting around Ellensburg
Ellensburg has a free transportation service available to all CWU students and family members. The service runs every day, with slightly limited hours during the weekends. A map of the routes (PDF).
Download the Uber app and arrange for the driver to pick you up and drop you off.

There is one on-call taxi service for the city of Ellensburg.
