Geotechnical Consultant in Seattle, Washington
I began working for Shannon & Wilson Inc., a geotechnical consulting firm in Seattle, shortly after graduating from CWU. As a geologist, I typically characterize geologic subsurface conditions of soil and rock from drilling operations on major infrastructure projects in Washington, Alaska and British Columbia. From time to time, I assist with landslide hazard assessments near major reservoirs and transportation corridors using field mapping techniques I learned at CWU and by piloting drones to capture orthoimagery of the affected areas.
I spend much of my free time climbing, backpacking, skiing and exploring geology in the North Cascades.
