Why Study Wine Trade at CWU?

CWU is located in the major wine-producing region of the Yakima Valley.

This provides you with unique opportunities for experiential learning through internships at local wineries and field trips to vineyards. This certificate can serve as a valuable standalone credential which is ideal for those of you already in, or wanting to dive into, the wine industry.

“We have some great winemaking and viticulture programs in Washington, but what needed to be addressed was how to get the products to market,” Program Director Jill Perillo Clark said. “I like to think we have built our own little niche at Central with our focus on the business side, and I feel really good about our program being able to address a growing need in our state.”
