Program Options

Small Plan: The small plan Sociology major is designed to complement another major or minor to specifically meet your career goals, which are interdisciplinary in nature. The small plan major combines well with Law and Justice, Psychology, Anthropology, Communications, Business and with several minors, including Ethnic Studies, Latino & Latin American Studies, Africana and Black Studies, and American Indian Studies.

Large Plan: Our large plan embraces a traditional academic plan that does not require a minor or secondary major, though a related minor is always encouraged.

The BA in Sociology opens doors to a wide range of careers, from social work and counseling to research, education, and beyond. This program also provides a solid foundation for further academic pursuits.
