Highlights

Mathematical Competition in Modeling

Our students regularly compete in the annual Mathematical Competition in Modeling, which challenges students to create mathematical models to address important world issues. In 2020, students Riley Krall, Bill Miller, and Jack Dutton addressed the problem of environmentally displaced people and were finalists in the competition.

Mount Stuart Mathematics Seminars

These seminars run several times a quarter and are open to all. We explore applications of mathematics such as the biophysics of neuroscience and the mathematics behind encrypting data. We explore topics not normally taught in our undergraduate program, like knot theory.
