This program offers a dynamic blend of engaging courses and a nine-month practicum. CWU has a long-standing reputation for providing exceptional education, so you can be confident that you will receive a high-quality education that prepares you for a successful career in a K-12 library. This program can be completed in two years (either 2 summers or 2 academic years of fall, winter, and spring).

A Rich History of Developing Teachers

CWU’s School of Education is one of the oldest in the state of Washington, having been founded in 1891. Offering teacher education programs at Central’s Ellensburg, Yakima, Wenatchee, Pierce, and Des Moines campuses, CWU prepares teachers in more than thirty content areas, from preschool to high school.
