CWU's Master of Science in Geological Sciences aims to develop professional geoscientists with the ability to conduct original and meaningful scientific research.
Our thesis-based program includes a structured graduate course sequence to build a strong cohort, develop research skills, and provide support and guidance to ensure timely progress toward graduation in two years. Additional course requirements are tailored to your academic background, professional goals, and research interests. Our program prepares you for geoscience careers or for continuing graduate studies at the doctoral level.

This course offers immersive field studies of the diverse geological features, including volcanic landscapes, mountain ranges, coastal systems, and glacial formations. Through hands-on fieldwork, you will gain an understanding of the region’s complex geologic history.
