Performance Opportunities
Orchesis Dance Company: Dance majors will participate in CWU’s own dance company featuring semi-annual productions open to the public.
Informal Performances: In addition to our annual Spring Performance, we hold more informal performances in Nicholson Pavilion such as our Choreographer's Showcase and quarterly works-in-progress showings.
American College Dance Association Conference: We attend this conference annually during Winter Quarter where we perform and attend classes.
Local Performances: We regularly perform in local performances and have the opportunity to teach in the community.
Seamless Integration
Dance Team: The CWU Dance Team is scheduled intentionally to not conflict with dance major schedules, enabling dancers to take part in both.
Double Major: Our 67 credit Dance, BA leaves time for dancers to pursue a second major at CWU, richening their academic experience and making them even more marketable.
Career Ready: Dancers possess many skills that employers of all kinds are looking for including persistence, teamwork, and creative problem-solving.
