Gabrielle McNeillie MFA, originally from Rochester, New York, received her early training at Brockport School of Dance and Performing Arts and the Rochester City Ballet. She graduated cum laude from The University of Akron with a BFA in Dance Performance. After receiving her BFA in Dance Performance from the University of Akron she worked for almost a decade as a Dancer and Dance Captain for Carnival Cruise Lines Entertainment. In 2014 Gabrielle earned her MFA in Dance/Choreography from The University of Arizona.

As an Assistant Professor and the Dance Program Coordinator at CWU, Gabrielle seeks to reach the inner artist in each of her students by creating a classroom environment built on mutual respect to foster creativity, confidence, and a passion for movement. At CWU she teaches a wide variety of technique and theory courses including Ballet, Jazz, Pilates, Composition, and Injury Prevention, and co-Directs the Orchesis Dance Company. Her choreography has been staged both locally and nationally including the Converge Dance Festival in Seattle, Pacific Lutheran University, University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, and the Detroit Dance City Festival. She has presented at various conferences including the National Dance Education Organization, the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science, and the Dance Science and Somatics Educators conference. Gabrielle is a board member of the Dance Educators Association of Washington and is a licensed Fletcher Pilates® teacher.
