Create Your Future in Honors

Founded in 1977, the William O. Douglas Honors College (DHC) at Central Washington University supports and encourages all students to find individual success through academic excellence and a commitment to intellectual exploration and community engagement.

The DHC curriculum promotes critical thinking, interdisciplinary exploration, and a commitment to civic engagement. Students and professors engage meaningfully within our intimate seminar-style courses, cultivating mentorship and fostering intellectual growth.

Named in honor of the esteemed Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas, a fervent advocate for civil liberties and environmental conservation, the college embodies his spirit of inquiry and activism, shaping a new generation of scholars poised to make a difference in an ever-changing world.
