Balancing your work, life, and classes can be difficult to manage, so Central Washington University offers several modalities to meet you where you are! Whether that is the flexibility of taking classes online from the comfort of your home or attending one of our centers to lessen the commute, earning a degree has never been as convenient.
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting Online

This online program is designed to allow students entering with a Washington Associate in Business - Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) to complete an Accounting degree in a timely manner! The program can accommodate a variety of preferred course loads, from part time students to full time students. Full-time students could finish in as little as 5 - 6 quarters if transferring with an Associate in Business - Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) degree.

    Bachelor of Science in Accounting

Students without a Business - DTA degree may still apply for the program, but they may need to complete additional coursework outside of CWU to fulfill degree requirements. We recommend students have completed a pre-calculus class that is equivalent to CWU’s MATH 153 before starting the program (equivalents to MATH 154, MATH 170, and MATH 172 are also acceptable).

    • MATH 153 is not consistently offered online by CWU and we strongly encourage students to have this completed prior to transferring. Students who transfer without this completed may need to take this course at a community college or another institution and transfer it in to meet degree requirements.
    • MATH& 141 is the most common equivalent offered at Washington Community Colleges. MATH& 142 or MATH&148 will also suffice.
Who is eligible for the online Accounting degree?
    • Admission to the CWU- Web Campus requires students to have completed 90 college credits by the quarter of admission.
    • We recommend student have completed a Washington State Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) degree (Associate of Arts, DTA or Associate of Business, DTA/MRP)
    • For full admission to the Accounting major, applicants must complete the College of Business Major Declaration & Policies form
