Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
VITA 2026
Get your taxes done for free at Central Washington University.
CWU's VITA program offers free one-on-one tax assistance to individuals who earn $67,000 or less a year, persons with disabilities, and members of our community that speak limited English or have other barriers to navigating their taxes.
In addition to one-on-one tax assistance, this year we are also providing self-assisted tax return help. This service helps members of our community who earn $89,000 or less a year file their tax returns themselves using MyFreeTaxes.com onsite at CWU with volunteers available to guide them through the process and answer questions.
