Our History 

Join a long tradition of studying economics at Central Washington University. Economics courses have been taught at Central Washington University for at least a century. Our Department of Economics was formed in 1947-1948 and was a part of the College of Arts and Sciences, Social Science Division.   

We have recorded interviews with key figures in this department's history:  


CWU’s College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Only 5% of business schools globally earn the coveted designation.
