College Art Day 2026
College Art Day is November 6, 2026
You and your students are invited to the 12th annual College Art Day on Friday, November 6, 2026
This event is for high school juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing a college degree in visual art. There will be two Art + Design studio sessions during the day. Students will be able to participate in hands-on university art studio classes from eight different studio areas offered at Central Washington University.
Learn more about the Department of Art + Design, degree programs, and scholarship opportunities. Enjoy a campus tour. Parents and teachers are welcome!
Art studios include Ceramics, Drawing, Painting/Watercolor, Graphic Design, Jewelry/Metals, Photography, Sculpture, and Wood Design.
As a teacher, we hope you will attend, observe, and participate; however, your attendance is not mandatory for your students to attend the event and art competition. The CWU Department of Art + Design greatly appreciates your help in promoting this event for high school students. Please share this email with students and colleagues.
Schedule:
9am - 10am: Welcome Check-in and Randall Hall Tour
10am - 12pm: Studio Experience #1
12pm - 1:30pm: Lunch, CWU Admissions Introduction, and Campus Tours.
1:30pm - 3:30pm: Studio Experience #2
3:30pm - 4:30pm: Look At Me Reception & Awards Ceremony at Gallery 231
Registration:
Every student must register to attend.
Students are welcome to attend with or without a school group.
Teachers/Parents/Chaperones: Email art_dept@cwu.edu to register. Please note: the registration form below is for students only & each student must register individually.
Students: Each student must regsiter individually, no group registration.
