Advising Notes
No prior experience or coursework in anthropology is necessary prior to transfer at CWU. There is no special admission process (no pre-requisites, no grade requirements); just contact us and we can add you as a major. Transfer students with an AA-DTA should be able to complete a CWU Anthropology degree in two years, even with no prior anthropology coursework.
We offer both a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA), and preparation in the first two years does not look significantly different. Students should consult with their CWU advisor at the start of their time at CWU to discuss which option is best for them.
Major requirements may change over time; students will be expected to meet the catalog requirements in place at the time they are admitted to the major.
