About the Program

The Information Technology Management program prepares you to lead in today’s technology-driven environments.

You’ll build skills in:

  • IT systems and operations
  • Project management
  • Cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Data-driven decision making
  • Leading technical teams

This program is designed for students who want to move into or advance in IT-related roles.

How ACPL Applies to IT Management

Depending on your background, you may be able to earn credit through:

  • Industry certifications
  • Prior coursework or exams
  • Relevant work experience (via portfolio)
  • Military IT training or roles

Credit is awarded based on how your experience aligns with specific course outcomes.

Examples of Experience That May Count

While every situation is different, examples may include:

  • IT certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+), Cisco (CCNA), or similar
  • Experience managing IT systems, networks, or infrastructure
  • Project management experience in technical environments
  • Cybersecurity training or hands-on experience
  • Data or systems analysis work

What to Expect

  • Not all experience will apply directly to credit
