You’re invited! CWU Safe open forums planned this month

Join the CWU Safe Work Group this month for interactive town halls on the findings and recommendations related to a deep dive into the changes we must make as a community to establish a shared culture of physical and psychological safety on campus.

The CWU Safe Work Group wants to hear your feedback as final recommendations are developed to support trauma-informed and equity-centered approaches to the prevention and handling of gender-based violence.

The purpose of the town halls is to listen to your ideas in response to these recommendations: what we've missed, what needs to be prioritized, what needs a different focus, and what we've gotten right. One of the sessions will take place in the Wellington Event Center, one will be in the Student Union and Recreation Center, and one offers virtual access via Zoom. All town halls will cover the same content, so you just need to attend one.

Times, dates, and locations of the open forums are as follows:

  • May 16 - 9-10 a.m. Wellington Event Center
  • May 25 - 1-2 p.m. SURC 301 Executive Boardroom
  • May 31 - 4-4:45 p.m. VIRTUAL (register here)

Your engagement in this process is very important. We are listening, and your feedback will help us shape the final recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team. Thank you for your participation in this important work.
