We are getting ready for what we anticipate will be a severe weather event that could bring up to 12 inches of snow with gusts of 40 mph winds, accompanied by sub 20-degree temperatures.

We will be monitoring it hourly throughout the weekend. Follow us for updates via: CWU Facebook, CWU Twitter, Central Today, and your CWU email.

Also monitor the weather and road conditions by following the National Weather Service-Pendleton and Washington Department of Transportation.

Be safe, dress warmly to avoid hyperthermia and frostbite, and be prepared. Learn more about how to prepare for snowstorms and extreme cold. Additional resources include winter driving safety and knowing what to do before, during and after extreme weather.
