Central Washington University has a great women’s rugby team and that was reflected on Monday when USA Rugby announced its 20U team for the upcoming Tri Nations Cup taking place next week.

As the 20U team, only underclassmen qualified, the Central Washington Wildcats sent two sophomores, sisters Tiana and Tiara A’Au and freshman Maryjane Pasioles. The A’Au sisters were both selected to play the prop position, despite Tiana primarily playing center for the Wildcats. Pasoiles was selected as a scrumhalf.

"We're really proud of the three selected to represent the USA at the U20 level," Head Women's Rugby Coach Trevor Richards said in a press release. "It's an honor for these young ladies to get the call up but it's also a testament to their abilities as rugby players and what they've demonstrated over the last few years. No doubt they will represent us well overseas and will bring that knowledge and mindset into our environment this fall."
