State archives at CWU store local records

  • May 22, 2014

If you need to find a copy of an Ellensburg City Council meeting agenda from 1969, check pupil attendance at Morgan Middle School in 1931 or view county timber land assessment maps from 1908, the Central Regional Branch of the Washington State Archives, on the campus of Central Washington University, can help.

The seven branches of the state archives preserve significant documents generated by county and city governments, school districts and other service districts. There’s also a digital archive in Cheney, located online at www.digitalarchives.wa.gov.
