Central Washington University geology professors Timothy Melbourne and Walter Szeliga recently co-authored an article on navigation satellites that help track and monitor potential earthquake activity, which appeared on the Eos: Earth and Space Science News magazine website. In the article, Melbourne and Szeliga write about how Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are supplementing traditional seismic detection networks.
