Science II: Foundations started for observatory tower
- February 9, 2015

Work continues on Central Washington University's new science building, and workers began laying the foundations for what will be an 85-foot tall observatory tower Thursday.
CWU Facilities Planning and Construction Services Director Bob Yarwood said workers from Lydig Construction of Spokane, the school's contractor will finish the last part of the third floor’s main structure this week.
He said a large amount of the building's basic structure should be finished by March, at which time the towering crane visible from most of campus will be removed.
