Save the date: State of the University address will be September 29

Central Washington University President Jim Wohlpart will deliver his 2023 State of the University address Friday, September 29, and everyone in the CWU community is invited to attend.

The event in the SURC Ballroom will begin with a social gathering at 9:30 a.m., followed by an address by President Wohlpart at 10 a.m. Additional details about the program format will be announced soon.

The president's address last year detailed Central's strategy of creating access and opportunities for all people, and establishing a viable budget that will enable the university to prepare for a strong and vibrant future.

He also outlined CWU's ongoing efforts to create a sustainable future that involves working closely with the Governor's Office, the Legislature, local and state business leaders, shared governance groups on campus, and members of the Ellensburg and Kittitas Valley communities.
