Running game powers CWU to comeback win

  • November 16, 2015

If Central Washington’s football season wasn’t what the Wildcats had hoped for, the final quarter of its final game was.

CWU, beaten badly by Dixie State in its second game of the year, dominated the fourth quarter Saturday for a 34-28 GNAC victory to close its season before an announced crowd of 4,214 in Tomlinson Stadium.

At 3-3 in the conference and 5-5 for the season, Central avoided the program’s first losing season since 2011 and only its second since 2001.
