  • September 19, 2017

Tuesday’s campus-wide power outage at Central Washington University was the result of two birds hitting a transformer at about 7:40 a.m., according to Joseph Han, CWU’s vice president for operations.

The outage lasted about two hours and power was restored throughout the campus before 10 a.m. No scheduled campus events had to be canceled as a result of the power outage, including the annual Fall Convocation, which took place at 11 a.m.
