Phil Backlund retires from CWU

Staci Jacobson says a day doesn’t go by in her work at the Ellensburg Enterprise Rent-A-Car office that she doesn’t use the communication skills she learned from Central Washington University professor Phil Backlund.

“Everything I learned in his classes and from his teaching I put to use every day,” said Jacobson, a 2014 Central graduate and management trainee with Enterprise. “Add to that what I’m learning through Enterprise and, it’s all a great foundation that can overcome any barriers to good communication and better understanding with anyone and in any relationship.”
