The annual Pack the Pantry drive is winding down this week, with donations being taken at various campus locations and online through Friday, January 26.
For the past three weeks, the Wildcat Pantry has been asking CWU faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members to provide non-perishable food, clothing, household goods, hygiene products, and other essentials for members of the university community who need extra support this winter.
“Pack the Pantry is critical to our work to not only stock the pantry, but bring awareness to our program and the basic needs resources we have to offer students,” Wildcat Pantry Coordinator Brady Smith said.
If you would like to purchase a specific item to donate, visit the Wildcat Pantry’s Amazon.com page for ideas. Cash, check, and credit card donations are also encouraged through the CWU Foundation.
The first week of the drive focused on non-perishable food items; week two centered around gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan nonperishable food; and this week will emphasize hygiene and household products.
