Overcoming tragedy through theater

A Washington state professor with ties to the area came up with a plan to help Umpqua Community College students heal from the Oct. 1 mass shooting.

Central Washington University Assistant Professor of Performance Patrick Dizney, who grew up in Eugene and has ties to the area, believes that extending encouragement and a helping hand can help a community heal.
