A career in music can take a person to grand music halls, small intimate clubs, orchestra pits and sound studios — as well as to a work bench in a second-floor office in a historic downtown Ellensburg building.

Jake Juhl has opened Crown Juhl Music at 421 N. Pearl St., suite 220 in the 1888 Building, offering musical instrument repair.

“I graduated from Central (Washington University) in saxophone performance in 2016,” Juhl said.

Juhl said his original plan was to teach private lessons but while at Central he decided to adjust his career path. As well as continuing to perform, Juhl trained in repairing instruments.
