Central Washington University senior Kevin Haynes was named to the College Football America 2017 Starting Lineup, CFA's version of an All-American team.

Haynes is one of three linebackers selected to the CFA's defensive team after leading the Wildcats with 110 total tackles, and 19.0 tackles for loss which ranked 11th best in the country.

Haynes spearheaded the Wildcat defense that led the nation in tackels for loss, and ranked in the top 25 in total defense.

His efforts earned him Great Northwest Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors, and his first all-American selection.

"Kevin is very deserving of the recognition he has received thus far," CWU Defensive Coordinator Scott Power said. "He was as good as anyone last year and we are looking for great things from him again this season."

Joining Haynes on the CFA Starting Lineup are a couple familiar faces in Humboldt State's Alex Cappa (OL), and fellow linebacker Bo Highburger of Western Oregon.

The College Football America 2017 Yearbook features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada over the course of more than 300 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos.
