Gov. Inslee meets with educators at CWU roundtable

If there was a consistent theme for Gov. Jay Inslee’s visit to Central Washington University on Thursday, it was the next 30 days.

In those 30 days, the Washington state Legislature will hammer out the state budget in an extended session. Legislators are trying to come into compliance with the state Supreme Court McCleary ruling, which requires them to fully fund K-12 education.

Inslee met with educators and school administrators from around the region, including two CWU professors, Thorp Schools Superintendent Linda Martin and Lincoln Elementary School teacher Torre Frampton.
