Free Concert Monday Showcases CWU Student Singers

  • June 5, 2014

Four student a cappella groups at Central Washington University will show off their vocal skills and their talent for arranging and harmonizing unique sets at a free concert Monday, June 9.

The show starts at 8:15 p.m. in the Jerilyn S. McIntyre Music Building Concert Hall. The featured groups are Pretty Pitches, Nada Cantata, Boots ‘n’ Cats, and Blunt Force Trauma.

Earlier this year Pretty Pitches, Nada Cantata, and Boots ‘n’ Cats represented CWU at the International Championship of Collegiate a Cappella West quarterfinals at Pacific Lutheran University. Nada Cantata took third place and Boots ‘n’ Cats took second, which advanced the seven-member group to the regional semifinals in April in Los Angeles. Watch their performance on YouTube.

Monday's concert is sponsored by the CWU Voice Club and the CWU Residence Hall Association. For more information contact Jordan Payne at 253-709-1688 or paynejo@cwu.edu.
