Four CWU softball players earn all-GNAC recognition

Four players on the Central Washington University softball team earned spots on the all-GNAC teams, with three named to the first team.

Sophomore Savannah Egbert and freshmen Lexie Strasser and Katie Kastning were unanimous first-team picks, with junior Rachel Johnson named to the second team.

Egbert, a third baseman, led Central in average (.458), hits (70) and runs (39), and also set a single-season school record with 29 stolen bases. Strasser, a pitcher, was 18-8 to lead the GNAC in victories and set a CWU freshman record for wins. She ranked second in the conference with a 2.60 earned-run average. Kastning, an outfielder, hit .379 with a team-best 12 doubles and 27 RBI.
