First Candidate for CWU Vice President of Operations Visits Campus

Joseph K. Han, associate vice president of administration and operations and executive director of public safety at Cleveland State University and a candidate for Central Washington University’s vice president of operations position, will visit the campus on Tuesday, January 10.

Han, who has an Ed.D. in educational leadership/higher education administration from Idaho State University, also holds an MBA and an MA in organizational leadership from Azusa Pacific University.

While at Cleveland State, Han served on the university president’s cabinet and was responsible for leading several capital projects, including a $48 million bond-funded Center for Innovative Health Professional facility and a $26 million bond-funded deferred maintenance project.

Additionally, he previously worked as associate vice president for facilities services at Idaho State University and was director of facilities management and services at California State University, Chico.

Han’s schedule on January 10 includes:

9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Meet with direct report staff, Barge 410
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Meet with search committee, Barge 412
Noon – 1:30 p.m. Meet with President James Gaudino
1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. Campus tour
3 p.m. – 4 p.m. Campus Forum (open to the public), SURC 301
5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Dinner with President’s Cabinet
