  • February 11, 2015

Is your daughter interested in dinosaurs, tsunamis or earthquakes? Does she talk about becoming a veterinarian, a CSI detective or a doctor? If you have a daughter who is curious about careers in science, you are in luck! Central Washington University is once again hosting Expanding Your Horizons (EYH). EYH is a hands-on exploration of careers in science, technology, engineering, and math, for fifth- through ninth-grade girls

Interested future scientists may sign up at http://www.cwu.edu/~web/expanding_your_horizons/CESME_form_2015_v3.pdf. The deadline for registering is February 13. Enrollment is limited and classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to register early!

The event, which features a series of workshops led by science professionals, runs from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, at the CWU campus and costs $15. The event fee covers all conference materials and includes lunch. An event t-shirt can be purchased for an additional $15. Expanding Your Horizons is sponsored by CWU’s Center for Excellence in Science and Math Education.
