Ellensburg to Join in Nationwide COVID-19 Memorial 1/19

WHAT: Community-wide memorial to remember and honor those who lost their lives to COVID-19.

The City of Ellensburg, Kittitas County Public Health Department, KVH Hospital, and Central Washington University have partnered to illuminate CWU's iconic Barge Hall in amber lights at exactly 5:30 p.m. PST.

WHEN: Tuesday, January 19, 2021, 5:30 p.m. PST

WHERE: Central Washington University - Barge Hall lawn
400 University Way, Ellensburg

WHO: The City of Ellensburg, Kittitas County Public Health Department, KVH Hospital, and Central Washington University

WHY: President-elect Biden announced that he will lead the memorial with church-bell ringing and light shows across the country on Tuesday, January 19, at 5:30 p.m. EST. The Ellensburg community wished to join, and honor all those in our city, county, and nation by showing our support and remembrance.

LIVE STREAM: This event will be live streamed via CWU Facebook.

COVID-19 PROTOCOL: The event will be held in line with all requirements in the Governor's Road to Recovery proclamation and in adherence to CWU's COVID-19 safety guidelines. Attendance is limited. Physical distancing and face coverings are required.
