D&M Coffee, Cornerstone Pie Donates Proceeds to CWU on MLK Day
- January 12, 2018
Commemorate Dr. Martin Luther Kingâs memory and give back to Central Washington
âWe believe diversity is what has made our country strong,â said Mark Holloway and Donna Malek, who own and operate both businesses. âAs a small business, in a small community, we want to do whatever we can to uphold that spirit.â
D&M Coffee and Cornerstone Pie are both Business to Community Starsâa program which recognizes the best in Ellensburg customer service. Halloway and Malek shared that they value diversity and inclusivity and make sure their businesses are welcoming to all students.
They approached CWU seeking to give back to a worthy program that emulates Martin Luther King Jr.âs vision and readily agreed to donate to the CDSJ. The funding will support the CDSJ and all its programs, advocacy, and outreach.
âI am thrilled that D&M Coffee is willing to support the work of our students and staff,â said Kandee Cleary, CWUâs vice president of diversity and inclusion. âI am grateful for the
collaborations weâve done and look forward to more in the future.â
